STEVIE NICKS!!!!! The Goddess of Rock! No one can touch her! Starting her solo career in 1980, Stevie rose to icon status quickly with her first solo lp,"Bella Donna". Her image, her poetic lyrics, and trademark voice have made her a legend. She is the best! Now in her 60's, she looks fantastic, and sounds even better! She just finished the 'Crystal Visions Tour". Stevie Nicks has inspired more people that even she will ever know! _________________

Stevie is amazing and thanks to you i am now aware of that :-)
I also think that Kate Bush was highly unique in the 80's and she came out with her best work back then.
Oh and i cannot possibly forget Cyndi!!! She is my greatest style icon and a role model!

Ah, these are all excellent nominations, but I think we definitely need to consider Pat Benatar. I mean, come on - trained as a coloratura, few of the female vocalists of the 80's could match her range and power. Of course the four consecutive Grammy wins from '80 thru '83 were a testament to Pat's vocal ability, and her popularity.
