cyclops In the late Eightie's. Singer Susanna Hoffs left her highly-successful band, The Bangles,( featuring Michael Steele, formerly of The Runaways) and went solo. The result was two solo albums,"When Your a boy" and "Susanna Hoffs in the early 1990's. While some critical acclaim was achieved, succes was not. cyclops

Hoff's cover of the Lightning Seed's "All I Want" is good.
Her cover of "Boys Keep Swinging" is okay too.

cyclops I was (and am ) a huge Bangles fan. When Susanna first went solo, I had high hopes, ( much like with Belinda Carlisle) that she would be really great. I was dissapointed, honestly.

Most of my favorite Bangles material consisted of the darker, less top 40 type of songs ( "Bell Jar", for example)
She may have done some great cover tunes, but her own material was too "girly pop" for me. cherry
