BERLIN...IN THE BEGINNING.....

Post by Rev. Cecil B. Demented on Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:06 pm

BEFORE WE STARTED RIDING ON THE METRO.AND HAVING OUR BREATH TAKEN AWAY,BERLIN HAD A DIFFERENT LEAD SINGER.....
TONI CHILDS, WHO WENT ON TO RECORD SOME AWESOME SOLO MATERIAL,WAS BERLIN'S LEAD SINGER,
TONI LEFT THE BAND BEFORE THEY WERE SIGNED TO GEFFEN RECORDS,AND WAS REPLACED BY THE BLONDE BOMBSHELL TERRI NUNN.
ANYONE WHO KNOWS TONI CHILDS' MUSIC WILL KNOW THAT WITH TERRI NUNN TAKING OVER VOCALS FOR BERLIN GAVE THEM A DIFFERENT SOUND..... cyclops

Berlin History

Post by atomic99 on Wed Feb 25, 2009 3:35 pm

I think Teri originally joined the band in 1979 but temporarily left to do her acting career but later returned two years later.

Per Wiki...
"Childs for years has been connected with being in the band Berlin in 1979. This is not strictly correct as Childs only sang three shows with the group as a favor while the new singer, Teri Nunn, was unavailable."

Singer Virginia Macolino sang up Berlin's first album INFORMATION (1980) when Nunn wasn't there. The first single "A Matter of Time", I believe, was rerecorded with Teri's vocals for their Best of album in the late 1980s.
