The BIG News:
The 80's based hard rock extravaganza,"Rock The Bayou", will slam into Houston,Texas,bringing more that 100 bands to the 4 day concert event,
Headlined by such icons like Alice Cooper, Queensryche, Twisted Sister, and Bret Michaels of Poison, the enormous rock festival also features 80"s favs Faster Pussycat, Bang Tango,Ratt, L.A. Guns,Jetboy,Skid Row,Lita Ford and more. A special treat for hard rock fans, is the appearance of Swedish-born virtuoso guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, marking his only U.S. date this year.
August 29,30,31, and September 1 will be the hottest days Houston will see this year...and for hard rock fans of the 80's,this is a rare festival treat seldom seen in the U.S..

Billy Idol shares the stage with Def Leppard in the U.S through August.

The Fixx are slated to do two nights at the Green Valley Ranch and Resort and Casino in Henderson,Nevada in November.

Missing Persons, featuring Dale Bozzio joins Animotion,Dramarama,Real Life, and When In Rome at "Lost 80's Live" in California,August 29-30.

Madonna tours Eurpoe until late September, then heads Stateside,first,in New Jersey, then on to a 4 night run at Madison Square Garden in NYC.After a short, scattered run through the U.S.,the Material Girl ends her tour with two nights in Mexico City, Mexico

Motley Crue are finishing up their latest jaunt acrossed The States, touring in support of their latest sonic feat,"Saints of Los Angeles".
And finally,Metallica are billed as the co-headlining act at the only OZZFEST date this year,which takes place in Frisco, Texas. The band then heads to Europe and the U.K.

If anyone out there gets the chance, check out the Regeneration Tour 2008! I had a great time, and the music sounded really awesome live. I was also fortunate enought to add quite a few more bands to the list of those I have seen because I also got to see the True Colours Tour! Acts Like Cyndi Lauper, The B-52's, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Wanda Sykes, The Puppini Sisters, The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, A Flock Of Seagulls and Missing Persons! I am totally into the 80's and I even have a ThunderCats Tattoo!! All of us should be celebrating this "Gnarly" decade! Dig into the eighties man, you'll be glad you did!
