Questions for Martin Fry
Hello Martin
Why won't Mark White reunite with ABC? What are his reasons?
Martin, I've heard ABC's pre-Martin Fry music under the Vice Versa name. How easy or hard was it going from that minimalist artsy synth sound to the confident polished professional sound of Lexicon of Love? It is quite a jump.
What was the hardest thing about battling Hodgkin's Disease? Having hope? Patience? Putting a career on hold?
One of my favorite lines from How to be a Millionaire is "I've seen the Future....I can't Afford it!" Does that apply today more than ever?
How did you like doing a remake of Thunderball for David Arnold's Bond album? Was it challenging trying to live up to the Tom Jones version or did you just let it fly?
And finally, not a question but a comment, I've always liked ABC but my interest was renewed with VH-1's BANDS REUNITED ABC show. While some artists hesitated, Martin, not only did you embrace it enthusiastically, but you gave us the gold jacket too. For those of us that missed ABC live in the 80s, we get a second chance now with the new tours. Many thanks! Keep playing those small clubs in San Francisco too. I love it.
